Who Is Jamilu Ahmad Yakasai?

Jamilu Ahmad Yakasai is the Executive Officer of Al-Mubarak International Film Production Limited and the Sardauna of Kannywood a title conferred on him by Emir of Zamfara State. He is a current chairman of Arewa Filmmakers Association of Nigeria (AFMAN) a major regulatory body in the film industry popularly known as Kannywood and has been producing and distributing indigenous films for more than a decade and has also featured as an actor in dozens of films and has held multiple positions in the leadership of the entertainment industry. As a producer his projects has earned him awards and nominations including Best Producer 2015 by Crystal International, Best Producer Indigenous Film by UK Nollywood/Vox Africa. He have also received other awards for his contribution to the promotion of arts, culture and entrepreneurship.

Among the awards are Job Provider of The Year by the Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje Ofr. Jamilu is also one of the major content provider to the emerging pay home TV channels beaming Hausa indigenous films to the Hausa speaking audience at home and abroad.

Recently on 4th/11/2016 he was awarded by the (Panache Global Entertainment) in uk as a best promoter of art an culture, and again he was awarded by the (African Voice) in Uk on 5th/11/2016, as a best Hausa film Distributor all over the world.
