5 Things That Will Make You Watch FKD Production’s MANSOOR
By Mubarak Khan
It is no longer a news on what
FKD Production brings when it comes to entertainment. The company has
established itself as one of the leading arena in Hausa film industry Kannywood.
The coming-of-age film tells the
story of a teen-boy tries to find out who he is while facing obstacles at home and
bullying at school.
We saw the songs. They all broke
our hearts and left our ears in tears, but we loved it. Here are just five of
the many reasons you have to see Mansoor when it releases in cinema.
1. The cinematography
Set in Kano and Abuja, but you
can get lost in the visuals alone. With sweeping camera angles and really
intensely intimate shots that vividly portray the protagonist's struggle to
break free, the film is a visual masterpiece.
2. The cast
Mansoor is filled with amazing
talented actors, including Ali Nuhu, Babballe Hayatu, Abba El-Mustapha and
introduced two-genius, Maryam Yahaya and Umar M. Shareef. Every cast member
portrays their assigned role perfectly. We have a feeling we will be hearing
many of these names a lot more after the film is released.
3. Maryam Yahaya
Yes, we mentioned the rest of the
cast, but we have to give Maryam her own shout-out. We didn't think it was
possible to love her even more. Well, seeing Mansoor video songs has officially
debunked that theory. Not only is her acting spot on, her character is super
lovable too. And she totally slays in the romantic flick like Nafisa Abdullahi
in Sai Wata Rana.
4. It is an important story
Everyone needs to see this movie.
It's a heart-wrenching coming-of-age story of a human being facing bullying at
school, his society and in-laws...all while trying to figure out his own
identity, too. So, yeah—it's emotionally a lot. It sheds light on the topic of
queerness and masculinity in the community, hopefully opening many doors for
new talented actors.
5. Songs
FKD Production is known for
producing quality soundtracks almost every time and that too of a musical
extravaganza like; Sai Wata Rana, Madubin Dubawa, Adamsy, Sirrin Da Ke Raina,
Halacci, Halwa and the last Gamu Nan Dai, that boasted to become super hit
materials and considered as the best soundtracks till date, develops humongous
expectations.
‘Mansoor’ comes with lots and
lots of expectations on the musical front with tracks; Abin Da Yake Raina, Zan
Rayu Da Ke, Makullin Zuciya, Macukule, Jirgin So Zai Tashi and Ya Mansoor Na
are already on the road to become a hit.
